Kaylee’s Maternity Style Makeover
At 27, Kaylee was navigating the emotional and physical changes that come with becoming a first-time mom. As an aesthetic injector who wears scrubs during the workweek, she found herself struggling to feel connected to her personal style outside of work — especially as her pregnancy progressed and fewer pieces in her closet continued to fit comfortably.
After a challenging few months during her first pregnancy, Kaylee wanted more than just maternity clothes. She wanted to feel like herself again. Her goal was to rebuild confidence through clothing that felt beautiful, effortless, and uplifting during a season of constant change.
Kaylee was looking for outfits that felt comfortable without sacrificing style, fun, feminine and flexible enough to transition to postpartum as well.
Because comfort and fit were especially important, I focused on selecting versatile pieces that could grow with her throughout pregnancy while still remaining wearable after baby arrived. I paid close attention to fabrics, silhouettes, and adjustable details that would accommodate her changing body without feeling restrictive.
Through her color and style analysis, I incorporated tones from both soft autumn and spring palettes to bring warmth, softness, and brightness to her wardrobe. I also introduced playful patterns, soft textures, and fresh seasonal colors to help her feel more energized and confident during spring and summer.
For Kaylee’s transformation, I intentionally selected:
- Comfortable, bump-friendly silhouettes that still felt chic
- Transitional pieces designed to work during pregnancy and postpartum
- Feminine dresses and separates that felt fun, flirty, and effortless
- Soft, breathable fabrics for all-day comfort
- Warm, flattering colors and playful prints to bring personality into her wardrobe
- Comfortable spring and summer footwear that felt stylish while supporting her changing body
The final result was a wardrobe that helped Kaylee reconnect with herself during pregnancy, giving her pieces that felt beautiful, functional, and confidence-boosting through every stage of motherhood.
